Friday Cheers is one of my favorite music series in the RVA. 
Not only does it feature a good mix of bands, but it’s cheap.
If you haven’t made it out yet, you’ve got one last chance this season: On Friday, June 29, 2012, $10 buys your ticket to see Trampled by Turtles with Goldrush. Based on everything I’ve heard about Trampled by Turtles’ live shows, you’re in for a high-energy evening of music. They’re on my list of must-see live performers–I own three of their albums, and their music is really fun.
Gates open at 6:00 p.m., and the opener should start playing at around 6:30 p.m. You can order tickets online via Tickets to Buy or buy them at one of the two entry points to Brown’s Island. Payment is taken at both locations, but debit and credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are only accepted at the pedestrian bridge at 7th Street.
