so I can save on walking tour tickets anytime during the 2012 season. But if you’re not, you may want to take advantage of this deal to take a walking tour on the cheap:
Thanks to an offer on Groupon, $10 buys a historic walking tour for two or ($20 buys tour tickets for five) from Valentine Richmond History Center. You’ll need to buy your voucher by 11:59 p.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, to get the deal, but you’ll have until November 30, 2012, to take a tour.
The Groupon excludes bus tours, director’s tours, history hounds, & holiday glitter, but you’ll still have quite a few places to pick from. Tour sites include Hollywood Cemetery, Shockoe Bottom, Main Street, Jackson Ward, canal boats, Carytown, the Byrd Theatre, & Ginter Park, to name a few.
Walking Tours are regularly $10 each & $5 for members of the Valentine Richmond History Center.
