my short list of places to be this weekend…I love Hanover tomatoes:
On Saturday, July 14, the 2012 Hanover Tomato Festival will take place at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville.
From 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., you can stop by & buy Hanover tomatoes (while supplies last, of course). And yes, the tomatoes really are from Hanover: Dodd’s Acres Farm, located on Market Road in the Black Creek area of Hanover County, supplies the tomatoes sold at the festival.
In addition to the tomatoes, you can browse the wares of 200+ arts-&-crafts vendors, enjoy live music, & watch family-friendly demonstrations. And the children’s area will have face painting, arts & crafts, games, Radio Disney, a Best Dressed Hanover Tomato Contest, and more.
Leashed, nonaggressive dogs are allowed.
Pole Green Park is located at 8996 Pole Green Park Lane, Mechanicsville.
