On Friday afternoon, I’m heading to VMFA to check out Maharaja: The Splendors of India’s Great Kings, a collection of 200+ objects spanning from the early 18th century to the mid-20th century. 
Unfortunately, I have other plans that evening, so I’ll miss out on this week’s free Friday night extras at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts:
- From 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on the third Friday of the month, you can Tango After Work at VMFA’s Best Café.
- And VMFA has weekly Friday Art + Wine events, which run from 5:00 p.m-8:30 p.m. on Fridays. There are free half-hour gallery tours at 7:00 p.m. & 7:30 p.m.; on July 20, you can take the Vacations tour. Even better, you can imbibe with half-price drinks at Best Café.
