If you’re in the mood for BBQ, brews & bands, check out this fest:
On Sunday, August 12, 2012, RVA-B-Que will take place at the 17th Street Farmers’ Market. From noon-5:00 p.m., you can fill up on BBQ from more than a dozen local BBQ vendors, sample beers from 14 VA breweries, and listen to live music.
Unfortunately, I can’t make it to the fest, but as I love BBQ, I’m going to use the list of participating vendors to try out some new-to-me spots in the RVA: Halligan Bar & Grill, Carter’s Pig Pen, Buz and Ned’s BBQ, Alamo BBQ, Virginia BBQ, Extra Billy’s, TD’s Smokehouse, Piedmont Smokehouse, P & T Kitchen, Ronnie’s BBQ, Hawk’s BBQ, Rooster Cart (VeganQ), RVA Vegan (VeganQ), & Benny’s BBQ.
The list of bands is still TBA, but you can check out the tap list of brews from Midnight Brewery, Wolf Hills Brewery, Big Daddy Brewery, Legend Brewing, Starr Hill, Devils Backbone, Bull and Bones, Mad Fox, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery, Brass Cannon, Roanoke Railhouse, James River, O’Connor, and Bold Rock.
17th Street Farmers Market is located at 100 N 17th St, Richmond.
