If you haven’t made it out for a free yoga class at VMFA, you’ve got two more chances:
Project Yoga Richmond is partnering with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to offer Saturday Salutations. Bring your mat (and a hoop, if necessary), a towel, and some water, and head to VMFA for a free morning yoga class.
The hour-long Saturday Salutations classes start at 9:00 a.m. Be sure to arrive by 8:45 a.m. so that you have time to sign in & get situated before the practice begins. Since Saturday Salutations take place outside on VMFA’s Belvedere Terrace, sunscreen is advised, and the event will be canceled if it rains.
The last Saturday Salutations sessions are scheduled for September 22 & October 6, 2012.
It’s free to attend Saturday Salutations, though there’s a suggested donation of $5.
If you can’t snag a spot on Sheppard St, parking in the garage is free for members & $5/day for nonmembers. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is located at 200 N. Boulevard, Richmond, VA 23220-4007 804.340.1400
