It’s almost the first Sunday of the month, which means it’s time for Open Studio Sundays at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.
From 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, bring the kids (ages 3-12) to the Art Education Center to create a free make-it & take-it art project inspired by VMFA’s collection.
Bonus: From noon-4:00 p.m., stop by the VMFA Sculpture Garden to see free glass-blowing demonstrations by Ryan Gothrup, who will be on site with his mobile hot-glass studio.
Can’t make it? Mark your calendars for the last Open Studio Sundays event of 2012, which will take place on December 2.
If you can’t snag a spot on Sheppard St, parking in the garage is free for members & $5/day for nonmembers. The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is located at 200 N. Boulevard, Richmond. 804-340-1400
