This is on my short list of Halloween events:
On Sunday, October 28, Poe’s Pumpkin Patch will take place at The Poe Museum. From 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m., you can compete in the costume contest or the mummy wrapping contest, participate in Poe-themed games & activities (geared toward children age 11 & under), listen to Poe tales, & bring home a pumpkin (limit one per child while supplies last).
The bad news: It’s not free. The good news: It is free with general admission ($6 for adults, $5 for students & seniors), and children age 7 & under are admitted free year-round.
Looking for a deal? If you have a 2012 Entertainment book, you’ll find Buy One, Get One Free admission coupon on page E43 (. There’s no coupon in the 2013 print edition, but I do see a BOGO admission coupons online; I could access Entertainment’s online deals as soon as I ordered my book.
