The 26th Annual International Film Series begins in September at the University of Richmond. If you’ve never attended these events, you are in for a real treat. And they’re FREE and open to the public.
All films are shown in the Ukrop Auditorium in the Robins School of Business (except where noted) at the University of Richmond. Friday showings are at 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., and Sunday showings are at 7:30 p.m. The films are shown in the original language with English subtitles.
African Film Weekend
African Film Weekend is October 3-4, 2014 at U of R. The African Film Weekend screens new and original African films each fall on the campus of the University of Richmond. It has been running since 2000 as an initiative from African Studies faculty members under the leadership of Professor Louis Tremaine from the Department of English. Since 2012, a component entitled (Africa Week) comprising lectures and other cultural events has been added.
