All 36 Virginia State Parks will be offering programs with kids in mind for National Kids to Parks Day. Sponsored by the National Parks Trust, National Kids to Parks Day is designed to stress the need for children to spend time recreating in nature.
Most events are FREE and they’re open to the public. Crafts, nature hikes, refreshments, demonstrations, canoeing, fossil walks, fishing, education on animals, critter crawls, tie-dye crafts, osprey observation, self-guided tours, ranger talks, gold panning, and lots of outdoor activities are offered across the State so visit this page to learn more.
