Enjoy the holidays with FREE activities for the whole family

I have TWO ways that I don’t completely drain our bank account during the holidays.

 

First, I have a separate bank account that I deposit money into monthly and that is our Christmas money. Gifts, experiences, and anything holiday season related comes out of that account and when it runs out that is it. No more spending. This is the only way I can control spending and easily say “that’s not in the budget this year”.

 

The second way is that as a family, we embrace ALL the free activities Richmond has to offer during the holidays:

 

1. Dropping off a letter for Santa in exchange for a free donut at Sugar Shack.

 

2. Free Santa visit/photo at Cabela’s.

 

3. The model train set-up and all the holiday vibes at Great Big Greenhouse.

 

4. Our own tacky light tour!

 

5. Miracle of Christmas – Live at the Zoo.

 

6. Volunteer at the Salvation Army Angel Tree drop off location.

 

7. See all the beautiful trees at Main Street Station’s Christmas Under the Clocktower.
