Based on the menu alone, I’d love to make it out to this:
The Little Sisters of the Poor’s Richmond French Food Festival will take place from 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
I could easily eat about 7,000 calories worth of French food. There’ll be Napoleon éclair au Chocolat, Crème Brulée, almond macaroon cake, Crêpe au Chocolat, cheese & bacon quiche, beignets, Gumbo Ya Ya, beef burgundy, Crêpe de Coquille St. Jacques et Crevettes, & more.
Between courses, you can shop the marketplace, watch Jonathan Austin perform in the Children’s Carnival area (from noon-3:00 p.m.), treat the kids to a moon bounce or face painting, & more.
And there’ll be live music & entertainment, too:
- 11:00 a.m.: Rillsoul Band
- Noon: Cady Creek
- 1:00 p.m.: Dessert Contest
- 2:00 p.m.: The Mills Family Band
- 4:00 p.m.: Emme St. James
- 5:00 p.m.: Roger D. Carroll & Chez Roue’
The Little Sisters of the Poor French Food Festival will take place at 1503 Michaels Rd, Richmond. Admission is free, but there’s a suggested donation of $2.
Free parking is located in the lot next door at the Forest Office Park. Though Visa & Mastercard are accepted at some booths, cash may be required at others. There will be an ATM on site, but bring a few bucks to skip the fees.
