From 6:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2011, The Poe Museum will host Poe’s Death Day Celebration (a day early). The free event, which marks the 162nd anniversary of Poe’s death, features everything from coffin races to readings from Richmond Macabre, an anthology of fifteen tales of ghosts, vampires, zombies, and unnamable terrors.
There’ll be live music & free hors d’oeuvres in the Enchanted Garden as well as a cash bar for those inclined, plus you can browse the museum’s exhibits while you’re there.
