Knishes and Kugel aren’t the only delicacies being served up at the Richmond Jewish Food Festival on Sunday, January 16, 2022 from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm at the Weinstein Jewish Community Center. The menu also features brisket, kosher hot dogs, stuffed cabbage, beef brisket and mandel cookies. The festive, family friendly event is toned down and drive through ONLY this year. This tzimmes of culinary concoctions is sure to placate even the pickiest Bubbie or boychick.

Looking for a bit of dessert to go? Classics like mandelbrot (some call it mandel bread) and rugelach are calling your name. Mandelbrot are classic Jewish cookies. Similar to Italian biscotti, these crunchy cookies are perfect for dipping in tea or coffee. Usually they are twice-baked to make them crispy and crunchy. Chocolate chip and chocolate cherry mandelbrot are featured. Rugelach are flaky pastries filled with either jams,, nuts or chocolates. This year strawberry nut rugelach is featured.
