Central Virginia Waste Management Authority (CVWMA) encourages residents throughout Central Virginia to recycle their real Christmas trees, if possible. Christmas tree recycling programs offered by our member localities are yet another way to go green for the holidays. Recycled trees are ground into a mulch product. Be sure to remove all decorations, lights, tinsel and ornaments from the tree.
Want your tree to go straight to goats who will happily munch them? Then drop your tree at the goat herder’ Bryan Park office which is an RV or RVA Goats and Honey hut, 10425 Spring Run Rd. Chesterfield (near Pocahontas State Park), or Epic Gardens at 7800 Epic Road or The Ranch at 4260 Lockin Circle in Powhatan.
Be sure to subscribe to email updates, follow @rvacheap on Twitter or like RVA (Richmond) on the Cheap on Facebook to stay in the know about the latest freebies & deals.
Use of each site/option is restricted to residents of the sponsoring city or county.
