The RVA Environmental Film Festival returns to Richmond in 2026 on Feb. 21st and runs through March 7th. All events and film screenings are FREE to the public.
About the film festival
First founded in 2008 as the Richmond Environmental Film Festival and then reborn in 2011 as the RVA Environmental Film Festival, this annual cinema arts showcase screens short films that raise awareness of environmental issues, many of which are as relevant to Richmond as they are globally.
Date and Time
The 2026 festival kicks off at 11 a.m. on Feb. 21 with a screening of the film “The Little Brown Bird” at Studio Two Three, 109 W. 15th St. in Downtown Richmond.
Other films will be screened at that same location, with additional film screenings at various locations through March 7.
