Richmond’s Public Pools & Splash Pads

Beat the heat and humidity and keep fit by taking a dip in one of Richmond’s FREE or cheap pools.

The City of Richmond Department of Parks, Recreation & Community Facilities will open four pools Memorial Day weekend 2022 for the public’s enjoyment.
•Fairmount Pool – 2000 U St.
•Randolph Pool – 1507 Grayland Ave.
•Blackwell Pool – 300 East 15th St.
Hotchkiss Pool – 701 East Brookland Park Blvd.
The four pools will be open exclusively on the weekends until June .
June 19, 2021 is the opening of all pools for normal summer hours.

⭐️  Henrico Residents swim for FREE! at the Frank J. Thornton YMCA Aquatic Center (closed for maintenance between May 30 and June 4.) https://www.ymcarichmond.org/locations/thornton-ymca-aquatic-center/

• Aquatic Recreation Center which includes a spray area for the kids at Pocahontas State Park is open for 2022, located a half an hour from Richmond, 10301 State Park Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832-6355

YMCA of Richmond Swimming & Aquatics: Indoor pools at the Northside Family YMCA, Shady Grove Family YMCA, Tuckahoe Family YMCA, Midlothian Family YMCA, Chickahominy Family YMCA and Chester Family YMCA are open for lap swimming. Outdoor pools at the YMCAs in Midlothian.
