Stand at Attention!
Open every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas — and always free, The National Museum of the Marine Corps is a must-see for anyone interested in Marine Corps history, military history in general and/or just the history of America.
Situated on a 135-acre site adjacent to the Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Va., the Museum’s 240,000-square-foot building houses world-class interpretive exhibits that take visitors through U.S. military involvement throughout the nation’s history, from before the American Revolution through the modern day.
Each exhibit has interactive and interpretive elements in which participants can immerse themselves to learn as much as they care to take in about each presentation. The museum is one of the top tourist attractions in Virginia, with 500,000 visors each year.

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is open from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM every day except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
