Take a walk on the wild side!
The Maymont Virginia Wildlife Trail is open for visitors and home to over a dozen species of native animals, most of which are wildlife rescues. These include bears, coyotes, porcupines, bobcats, foxes and eagles. The trail is located within a 40-acre valley located between the historic estate, the Maymont Farm and The Robins Nature Center.
The trail is open daily during Maymont’s regular hours (see below). The Virginia Wildlife Trail, like the rest of Maymont’s outdoor space, is FREE to visit.
Visit in the morning or at least before 4pm to increase your chances of viewing wildlife.
Maymont Regular Hours:
- Spring & Summer: 10am-7pm (Spring Daylight Saving Time through Labor Day)
- Fall: 10am-5pm (Post-Labor Day through early October)
- Garden Glow: 10am-4pm (early October through Garden Glow)
- Winter: 10am-5pm (Post-Garden Glow until Spring Daylight Saving Time)
