Chesterfield County’s 250th Fourth of July Celebration, presented by Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation and the Virginia Credit Union, will be held Saturday, July 4 at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds, 10300 Courthouse Road. Gates open at 5 p.m. and fireworks will begin at dark.
This free event features musical entertainment by the KOS Band, a versatile dance and show band playing crowd favorites from the 70’s through today. The band will play a first set 6 p.m. and a second set following the National Anthem featuring the Chesterfield County Sheriff’s Honor Guard. A DJ will keep the celebration going with danceable music when the band is not on stage.
Additionally, the Dixieland Express, a four-piece New Orleans style jazz band, will greet attendees at the main entrance with patriotic music to set the tone for a festive event.
In addition to live music, a variety of food options will be available for purchase. The popular kids’ zone returns this year with numerous inflatables.
All event traffic must enter on Krause Road. No glass, alcohol, fireworks, pets, tents, canopies, or illegal weapons are allowed. All bags and coolers are subject to search.
