FREE Kid's Workshops at Lowe's - Enjoying RVA and all it has to offer!

Stop! Hammer Time! Go Go Go! … to your nearest Lowe’s for the monthly “DIY Kid’s Workshop”, this Saturday!

You will need to register your crew in advance for this FREE activity. On the Lowe’s website there’s a calendar of events where you will find upcoming dates, and available time slots. If you can’t make it on Saturday, the store will hold your kits until the following Monday, and you can complete the project at home.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT A LOWE’S KID’S WORKSHOP

It took us about 40 minutes from start to finish (including time for some meticulous sticker placement ).

Each child receives an iron-on patch for participating, safety goggles, very clear directions and all the supplies needed. But, hold on tight to those items as Lowe’s has only a finite number of kits READ: don’t let your kids rip open every bag right away, because pieces WILL roll away (thank goodness for yard sticks to reach under those shelves ).

Kids 8 and up can follow all the instructions independently – just needed a bit of help with the hammer. Kids younger than 8 will need lots of support throughout. This is a 1:1 outing for our family for safety, and also because the kids are on such different levels for this type of activity.
