The Nutcracker ballet is a special Christmastime tradition. In the Richmond Ballet’s enchanting performance, Tchaikovsky’s familiar music whisks both Clara and audiences alike on an extraordinary journey, from a battle beneath the branches of a magical Christmas tree, through an enchanted snowy forest, to the Kingdom of Sweets. With its colorful sets, fanciful costumes, and beloved characters, such as the Russian Bear and Arabian Snake, The Nutcracker continues to charm generations. This colorful production of the Nutcracker enchanting holiday favorite has received praise and positive responses for its ability to charm and entertain audiences from age three to adult. A full-length presentation (approximately two hours long, including intermission). Monacan High School; Performances run from December 2-December 17.
