Are you feeling the heatwave blues? How about hanging out and having fun in a nice cool air-conditioned museum–and also learning something in the bargain?
Beginning Tuesday, July 7, the American Civil War Museum, 480 Tredegar Street in Richmond will be presenting a new program for kids of all ages on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the month of July.
Each presentation will feature prominent historical figures from the American Civil War era. Mornings at the Museum: Civil War Faces, will be presented from 10am–12pm and 2–4pm every Tuesday and Thursday throughout July to learn about individuals who lived through the American Civil War, from the famous to the obscure.
What It’s About
Each day, the award-winning museum will focus on different people from all walks of life. There will be activities, games, crafts, and books geared toward elementary and middle school aged kids, but all are welcome to participate.
The cost is $10 per person for both kids and adults (FREE to museum members), and after the presentations, participants may tour the museum at no additional charge. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
